Fridays are for ballet... and for remembering. When I started ballet 2 years ago, I was just looking for a way to reconnect with my body. After struggling with... well, with not being kind to myself for a long time, the idea of discipline, strength, and grace felt like a world away.
The ribbon tattooed on my ribs is a reminder of that fight. Every time I stretch at the barre now, I feel that ribbon. It’s not a mark of sadness, but a symbol of strength. Ballet taught me that my body isn't my enemy; it's my partner.
It's capable of so much more than I ever gave it credit for – it can be strong, flexible, and create something beautiful. It feels like I'm healing old wounds with every plié. It’s a very intimate journey, and I’m so grateful to be able to share these little pieces of my soul with you. ❤️
