You may have noticed that I’ve been more distant lately and not replying as much. The truth is that I’ve been dealing with my mental health and I was sexually assaulted recently. This isn’t the first time I’ve been a victim, but it *is* the first time that I had the courage and strength to stand my ground and stand up for myself. My speaking up allowed me to stop advances before it went too far. In the past I would just stay quiet, let things happen, and repress it because I was afraid to speak up. I am safe and have been actively speaking to my support system about the situation and I will come out a stronger person! This weekend for me is about a little self care to remind myself that I am enough, and no one does anything to my body without my consent!
