Tonight I'm seeing some friends of mine who I've not seen since before I went to prison and I cannot contain my excitement. I've built a really stable and strong community around me the last year and a half. I could not have gone through what I went through without my comrades. The thing they don't tell you about being on trial is that you very easily internalise the idea that you are the bad guy, that you deserve every punishment you get. My community halted that, and any time those thoughts intruded, my comrades quickly quashed the idea. I love them so much and I owe them my life. No man is an island. *currently listening to Joy as an Act of Resistance by Idles* "seeing IDLES live is like going to mass, but louder and more political"
